Hello, welcome back Underpaid Podcast! In this supersized episode, I sit down with longtime friend Jon Costantini, and we talk about the changing face of media, the demise of our beloved Super Video, the largest independent video store in upstate NY, and the nerdiness we have for films! Also, feel my envy for Jon’s film knowledge and his freaking wolf story. He made a film with live wolves! What have you done?! He’s just better at it than me and you’ll see why.
Stay tuned til the end to hear our remake of “Oh God!”
Also, listen for my big news, aka why there hasn’t been any new podcasts in awhile. Thank you for listening!
Liam Smith, the drummer from my favorite new band, Dry River Caravan joins the show in another Ottawan episode! Learn what diplomatic immunity can do for you! Why does a drummer deserve your respect? Do we talk about MySpace? Yep! “The canvas that music is drawn on is the absence of sound.” Then I make Liam geek out over Dave Grohl & Taylor Hawkins & Chad Smith. Then we talk movies and trends for a bit. What kind of action does a drummer get? Most importantly, what will Liam do for $5?! Follow Dry River Caravan on twitter @DryRiverCaravan or find them on facebook! Also, go look up the album “Wake Up” on iTunes!
Greg Aidala joins the show and we literally have tea together. If you don’t know him, he is the most well-known comedian from Albany, NY; and we go to Professor Java’s, a local coffee house and talk the local comedy scene, and how he got his start as an entertainer. He is a positive, earnest guy who got to where he is by working for it, and he’s done a lot to make people aware of comedy in the Albany area, and we have a bit of an intimate chat about his success. You can check out Greg at http://www.gregaidala.com, follow him on Twitter @GregAidala and come check him out with comedian Moody McCarthy April 21 at Holiday Inn Express in Latham, NY!
Thanks for checking out the show! I’m glad you are here!
If you’re staring like, “what the hell is a podcast?” “Who the hell are you?”

Me? Justin Williams? I’m the f*cking greatest thing since sliced bread. You should know me, I’m embarrassed for you if you don’t.
Who are the people I’m listing? People you should know, if you don’t already.
Listen if you like good talk, learning and fun. Don’t want to listen? Great! Goodbye.
Here’s a list of all of my shows so far. But first, here’s how to reach me/ teach me a lesson.

Holy Crap you guys, Ten Year Vamp is on The Underpaid Podcast! And they are so completely incredible and warm, Debbie and Mark, from one of the hardest working and long lasting indie bands joins the show to discuss the economics and the work ethic involved in being a ridiculously awesome band that has made a name for itself in the Northeastern US. First, learn what Debbie encourages to stick out. Debbie tells the story of how the band originated and how it generated it’s success. Who owns a band? If you are a successful band, when do you sign a record deal? Why doesn’t the band tour nationally? How important is name recognition? Who’s the Boss? SPOILER: it is NOT Tony Danza. What is the difference between a sponsor and an endorsement? Debbie Mark and Justin all reveal they have common apparel. Justin reveals the never before heard genesis of the band name. We talk about hair. What does it cost to produce a quality album, and how does an Indie band fund it? What is Debbie’s feelings on Goldschlager, and why will they never be a sponsor? Does that make Mark sad? How gangsta is Justin? What do you get from these guys if you see Ten Year Vamp one night only at Jillian’s of Albany? Learn the story of what happened when a fan went onstage! Learn which one of the three of us are excited about the upcoming “Super Bowl” foot-ball game. Why isn’t MTV playing videos? Will Ten Year Vamp say yes to a broadway musical based on their music? Who is Mark’s favorite band? Check out tenyearvamp.com for more music and full show schedule, follow the band on facebook at facebook.com/10YVamp or twitter @tenyearvamp.

(Funny Guest Alert!) 2012. The end of the world. Myself and Special guest, comedian Kevin Marshall tell us why he knows it’s in April. Kevin talks me off the ledge of using (not so) timely catchphrases and mandates some New Year’s resolutions. We bond over hatred of mayonnaise and white people. I ask Kevin about podcasting on MANville, (find it on iTunes!) and we shout some dirty dirty words! Chuck E. Cheese references! I accidentily reveal that The Underpaid Podcast isn’t real. We talk about dating and how stupid dating sites are, and I read off my sexy new match.com profile! Later, Kevin talks about his belief in centuars, and we write a new book and movie for Kristen Stewart. Finally, we get into talking about what it’s like to do stand up comedy in Albany, NY and delve into the strangeness of the comedic mind. Oh, and I decide on the spot to try my hand at stand up comedy. Crap. Check Kevin out on Twitter, @KevinMarshall or his website KevinMarshallOnline.com or his MMA Website, http://www.marshallmma.com
